Short boots for everyday (horze) , long boots for shows (tatini)
Personally I would use long boots. Like others have said, they support your leg more, it is easier to feel the horse, and I think it is a bit easier to grip as well. That being said, they are more expensive but you can get a cheap pair to use.

Hope this helps!
Long boots are definitely the best if they are leather. Rubber long boots restrict your legs quite a lot however leather is also more expensive! Boots and chaps are comfy to ride in too but don’t support your leg as much
Hope this helps x 🙂
Short boots and chaps for every day riding because they are cheaper! Ariat paddock boots hold up very well and I love Dublin’s suede half chaps. Both lasted me a very long while and I was riding 6 horses a day, multiple times a week and walking around a 20 acre far for many hours a week 😂😂
Hi! I recommend long boots and if they are not being used for competitions just find some cheap ones my genral riding boots are from amazon x
Hi! I recommend long boots! You can feel the horse way better, that's something you need every time you ride, not just at competitions. Ariat and DeNiro are very high quality boots
(English is not my first language, so sorry for that)
Hi Emma,
I recommend you short boots with chaps.
Hope your question was answered.
