Tie her up with a haynet and stand with her for the first few minutes stroking her and giving her treats, eventually she’ll be so focused on the food it won’t be scary anymore! 😊
that’s what I always do but she still freaks out if she moves back and there’s tension on the leadrope and then panics and pulls. I’ve had it on the loosest i could tie it and it still happened
If she has a paddock mate or just another horse that she likes you can put them on cross ties/ties up near each other so she won’t necessarily want to leave. It will also comfort her. If you are I. The barn then you can start to put the other horse in a stall when she gets more comfortable and slowly move them further away each time you go in until she’s realizes there is nothing to be scared of.
I hope this helps! Good luck!
Put a string between the halter and the rope, so in case she pulls it will break. Then try to calm her down with treats
