Hello ! I never wear parfume/cologne while riding because I think that it does affect horses and I don't think that it is fair to them to bother them with such artificial smells.
I have had a stallion react to a strongly scented body spray before!
No I don't. For several reasons. One is that I actually don't wear perfume at all, and don't like the smell of it. Two is that it is completely pointless when working with horses. Nobody gives a damn (or shouldn't) whether or not you smell nice, so long as you don't smell bad, which a shower and anti-perspirant can achieve. Three is that stallions can and do react to certain perfumes.
Hi Hang 🙂
It's a really interesting question I never thought about it!
I wear perfume on a daily basis so when riding I have some to, I mostly wear Hermès perfume, I love it and it kind of dive me in a universe that I love!
Most of the time I go to the barn at the end of the day so the smell of my perfume is not as strong as at the beginning of the day so I don't think it affects my horse 🙂
