Here is a list of some tricks:
-smile (my horse is the only one that can do this at my barn and everyone LOVES it! Super easy to teach as well)
-kiss (unless your horse has nipping/biting habits, then it could become dangerous)
- come when called
- stand on elevated platform (or just front legs)
- lay down (learn bow first to do this)
- hold the whip (a horse I used to ride knew this... very useful when fixing stirrups or preparing to mount! Can also be used with a paint brush and they can “paint”)
I hope this helps you for some ideas! Let me know how everything turns out! Good luck!
Thanks! I sure will! do you have any trick suggestions?
I always think trick training is great! It’s not necessarily super movement oriented but it will keep his mind active and by the end you can have some awesome tricks to show people!
Me and my trainer have it under control. And me and my horse have a special bond I just need some ways to play with him while he is on stall rest. Thanks in advance!
