If polo is the same thing as polo cross, then my dad used rob play it all the time and wished he never quit...
I've played it, it's great fun. The horses are completely desensitized to things flying around and the fairly soft ball bouncing against them. Sure, there's probably a few who play dirty, but as ellen said, that's in any sport. To start off, the riders face the judge in two rows, and the judge fires the ball down the middle (like in rugby). Whether you want them to or not, a well seasoned polocrosse pony will have turned and be chasing down the ball before you could blink. They wouldn't be so eager to start if it was as bad as all that.
I’ve never competed in it , but from the games I’ve seen I’ve never seen that happen, however it is still a very small and limited sport where I live so that could be why. Like in any sport there will always bee those who are horrible to others when playing. It’s super fun to play at least!
I couldn’t fit this is but my friends instructor was on the opposite team and he hit the horse she was on to try get her bucked off and it’s a bit like emmmm... your instructor did that
