I agree with the other answers : to me, if you are hungry, you should eat. The trick is just not to eat something bad for your health : instead of going for a sweet, you can eat an apple for example.
It’s not a bad thing at all, in fact I would suggest eating a snack in the afternoon. A large amount of people experience an “afternoon slump” because you’ve been up for a while, done some work, and it’s starting to catch up on you. Eating a small healthy energizing snack could be great for you and may even make you happier or more awake! And it’s actually much easier for your body to process foods if you’re eating, like Elise said, multiple small meals each day rather than three large. Although that changes for each person and their preferences! I’m more of a snack throughout the day person myself but that’s just me! Another thing you could try is “splitting” your lunch. Eat maybe 3/4 during your actual lunch and then as your “snack” you could finish it. You’re not eating more than you normally would but you are just spacing it out a bit. Listen to your body! If you’re hungry you’re hungry and you should eat!
I think afternoon snacks are healthy to have. Just have something like an apple and peanut butter on crackers
i try to eat smaller meals throughout the day. different things work better for different people, but i’d rather eat 6 small meals a day than 3 big ones
