You should watch some of Clinton Anderson’s videos 🤠🐴
I definitely agree with Alexandra. Patience is key. It's normal for some green horses to be a bit more skittish. How have you been approaching the barn? Is there a positive association attached to it? Is there anything in particular she's nervous of when walking into the barn? How do you introduce new things to her?
First of all, I suggest you work on the physical shape of the horse (lunging, flat work...): it will then be easier to work with her as her physical condition will allow it.
And then, obviously the breaks are important and I would add some flexibility exercices (not too much, it's quite difficult, especially for green horses).
If she's "nervous" or even "fresh", I suggest you always "ask" things, even simple ones (I mean you don't only walk and trot in big circles), this will normally keep her focused on sth and she will hopefully calm down a bit.
Finally, and this is quite obvious, you need to be very patient...
I haven’t but I have worked with naughty horses but she’s very skiddish and nervous , I need advice for calming and what to do when she’s nervous just walking inside the barn when she’s done it multiple times but it is still a new place to her
Making sure the breaks work! This applies to any new horse, but in particular green horses. Have you ever worked with green horses before?
