I have a fjord and they are kinda known for being pushy so I really understand.. mine really was until I did liberty and he learned to respect me through positivity and his own choice.. I’d recommend groundwork but be sure to be patient 😄 correct and reward - educate him 💞
I have the same with my guy when I got him. Lots of groundwork I love Parelli natural horsemanship. It really teaches them respect but in a very gentle kind way.
OK, don't know much about this, but my pony can be a little bulshy as well! Never step away from them if they step over u, make them 😊
I had this problem with my ottb. Whenever he gets in your space you make him move. But when your just leading him it’s good to randomly stop and if he stays back he gets a reward, if he walks on top of you, get him out of the way and keep walking, do this over and over until he gets it. When you’re riding, just halt him away from other horses and people (if he gets pushy when he’s being ridden) and eventually he’ll understand that he can’t get up in other people’s space. This is what my trainer taught me and it’s really helped with every horse I’ve worked with. Hope this helps!
