Hi Charlotte, here in the Netherlands the first thing I do is check on my horse after arriving, then check in and pay at the show office. After that I either walk the course for showjumping/cross country or watch some dressage riders in the warm up, then I go get my horse ready when it's time. I like to have some extra time so I can take it slow, fix some plaits if necessary, chill with some other riders and not hurry. My horse will get so stressed when I have to hurry, making everything go even slower 😂
Stop in the show office to check in, get your number and find where your stall is. Get the horse settled in, check show times, course and order of go. Tack up and have fun!
Hi Charlotte! It depends on if I am late or not aha 😉
If everything goes right, we manage to arrive soon enough to have time to do a quick tour of the venue if we don't know the place yet. We find the arena and the warm up arena, how to access it on horseback, and how much time we need to go from the truck to the warm up arena.
