Try over and over again if you feel like this isnt working try using stronger aids
being aggressive means not letting him get his way but meaning whip him or tell, that is never good. try and do a lot of calm work to not a lot of hardcore training try and get him to trust you and know the ins and outs then work your way up
If you have ruled out pain, I would do LOTS of ground work and lunging, if you need to hire a trainer to ensure your safey that would be best, however I totally understand trainers are super expensive 🤣 I would suggest moving his feet a lot! Lunge him and make him go left, right, slow, down, speed up etc. (tip: lunge with a bit so you have more control and he can’t get away with anything) and NEVER let him get his way, I have a filly who is super similar, I didn’t know what I was doing for a long time and it just messed her up even more. I would say just get lots of control on the ground first, even if it’s for a few weeks before you ride, it can make things a lot safer for both of you, I wish you the best of luck!!! ☺️❤️
his past owner was aggressive with him and he only got worse...
If nothing is wrong with him physically, you just have to be an aggressive rider with being clear you are in charge and not letting him get away with anything.
The vet has been by not so long ago, she couldn’t see anything wrong 🙁
Hi Lucy 🙂 A check up might be a good idea, if he acts like that it's maybe because there's something wrong somewhere
