Ask Bucas: My horse is always in-between two sizes when it comes to rugs, is there a risk of injuries if I choose the bigger one?

Hi Maddy,
the problem with getting a rug that is too big for your horse is that it can pull back at the chest and whithers causing sores and rubs. Also if you horse is getting up and down after rolling or resting they can stand on a long rug and tear it, get their leg stuck and end up hurting themselves.
These are all possibilities, they may never happen but they possibly could.
