hey i know you already showed but here are some more tips for future shows
your first shows are very good learning opportunities and you should be happy about them
have fun, it isn’t all about winning
if you are proud of your performance you just got the blue ribbon because you did your best!
always believe in yourself ❤️
Thanks guys! The show went really well! He was soo well behaved the entire time and I had a lot of fun.
If you really trust the horse you are riding it’s harder to get nervous. Don’t worry about the class your competing in just get in the ring and do your best
I had my first show the other day, I was soooo nervous and doubting myself, but when I was on the horse I remembered why I was there (I lOVE horses, ponies and riding) and that made me ease up and relaxed. I ended up coming 2nd.🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈🥈
don’t think about it! just have a fun time! don’t worry about looking go or doing your best. talk to your trainer! it’s what they are there for!! :))
what helps to ease my anxiety is talking to a trainer or other rider that is understanding and will understand how you feel. just remember it is COMPLETELY normal and not unusual to be nervous for your first show. everyone has been in your place at one time. people who have been showing for years still get nervous! it’s okay and you are going to be okay. i know how it feels. shows are honestly so hectic that everyone is focusing on themselves , not you. and if you do mess up, it’s ok! everyone does. we’re human and we’re not perfect. take it as a learning experience and
opportunity to improve. you are going to do great!! it’s also your first show so don’t be hard on yourself. you got this! believe in yourself
as for the trailering, i am almost certain your horse will not be injured. we trailer horses at my barn everywhere all the time and they are completely fine.
Hello Lizzy !
It is normal to be scared before a show, especially if it is your first. Are you gonna go there with our coach ? Has your horse already been transported ? If it is the case, there is no reason for the trailering to go wrong. If not, don't worry, everything must start by a first time, so no problem ! If everything has been carefully prepared, there is no reason to stress out. I don't think that there is any way to ease your anxiety other than rationalize things and keep calm and confident.
