I agree with Amber! If you want to get a start in the showing side of riding then do that. If you would rather experiment with the “owning” part of riding, then a lease would be a good move.
It depends on what you want, if you've been wanting to show for some years then it's your chance to start so you should take it. But if you want to build a great relationship with a horse, then getting a lease will be the best thing to do, it will allow you to really get to know a horse and have a strong bond with your partner 🙂
