At what point do you know you need to switch disciplines or try a new one? I've been getting frustrated with hunter and I've been told to try a new discipline but I dont know if I should or what I should even do

I can't do eventing or liberty really, but thanks anyway for the suggestion!
Yes!! Switch it up!! Try everything. I suggest eventing. Go school some XC and see how you like it. Also try some liberty, it’s my favorite thing to do with my horse
You could try jumpers, if you’re looking for something more fast paced than hunters, but it’s still a similar concept
Dressage and eventing also arent my thing
I dont know exactly how long, about a year maybe? I ride a lesson horse and I can't switch horses since the only others are too above my skill level (according to my instructor) and I'm planning to compete next year.
For how long have you been hunter jumping? Have you tried switching horses or do you own a horse? If so you could try dressage or eventing. Are you competing/ planning to compete? There are shear endless options if you are just "riding for fun". You could try archery for example! :)
