Having the children ride backwards, teaching them around the word, seeing how far they can reach up on the horses mane and then seeing how far back they can lie down in the saddle. Weaving through cones to practice turning.
“Horse yoga” was always fun! Gets them more comfortable with the horse and it’s just a fun little activity!
I loved to have some freedom , sometimes my trainer would ride with me or we would play some fun games. One - make sure it is a game they want to play or that they like, otherwise they may not think it is fun . Also think of the age of your kids . For example one game is Chase Me Charlie for experienced riders in jumping , you would not want to do this with a beginner. Some fun ones are ''3 seconds'' or ''10 second countdown''. This is where the trainer gives a command and the student must preform it before time runs out. It is very fun and can be quite funny at times!
