Alexandra Crown

For Alexandra Crown, everything is decided with the organization: in the management of her studies at the University of Miami, in her horses’ training or to be in ideal conditions during a competition. She works every day to put into practice the customized advices of Kent Farrington who learns her how to use the forces of each horse to her advantage in order to shine with the greatest at the 5* level. Over her performances on tracks as the Global Champions Tour, Alexandra plans to execute everything to accomplish her dreams: to defend colors of her country in Nations Cup.

Hi Cassidy,

My horses are under the care of one main vet, and I listen to his recommendations regarding the care of my horses. Some of things that we do frequently are chiropractic work, message therapy and daily use of the magnetic blankets. We also use the theraplates on my horses. My vet, farrier and dentist all work together and communicate with each other and myself so that my horses get the best possible care. We also make sure not to over show each horse, so that we protect them physically and mentally so that stay fresh and excited to compete.

Hi Natalia,

My best advice is to work with your trainer, and try your best to build a partnership with your horse and work within the parameters that she is capable of. Each horse has its own style and way of going.

Hi Tony,

It depends on how bad the rain is! In Florida the weather is very erratic, so rainstorms sometimes only last a few minutes. So if it starts pouring I will just wait to get on my next horse and usually the rain will stop quickly. If the rain isn't that bad I usually will continue riding.

Hi Lauren!

I'm not sure I can give an exact timeline for that. I just moved up to the 3* level, so hopefully I can continue progressing and within the next few years move up to the 5* level. I am going to continue competing as an amateur throughout my time in university, but my goal is to eventually become a professional. I would love to one day jump in Nations Cups and in championships for the United States team, as well as to jump some of the biggest grand prixs.

Thank you for the question!

Hi Kareen,

Yes, I attend college at the University of Miami. I am currently in my second year there.

Hi Amy,

I have a lot of admiration for many riders from my generation that are already competing at the level that I one day aspire to compete at. To name a few; Bertram Allen, Lucy Davis, Jessica Springsteen, Olivier and Nicola Philippaerts, Jos Verlooy, along with so many more!

Hi Mark,

I don't play any other sports, but I train in the gym almost everyday alongside my riding. I am not a particularly big person, so I think it important to keep myself as strong and fit as possible so that I can ride my horses to the best of my ability.

Hey!

If I could only ride one horse, I would have to say Von Cim (Cimi), my top horse right now. Anyone who knows me knows I'm completely obsessed with her, and I don't know if I could ever stand not riding her!

Hi Norman,

Kent's goal for me, as it always is, is for my riding to keep improving and for me to win some classes along the way! Our overall goal for the year is to move some of my other horses up to 1.45m level and above, and for me to jump some bigger classes and become more consistent at that height.

Thanks for the question!
