Ghali Boukaa

His Majesty King Mohammed VI provided Morocco a dazzling rise in equestrian sports. The Morocco Royal Tour has become an unmissable event, held in the most sumptuous stables of the country, worthy of palaces. Chaired by Prince Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, this 4-Star Circuit is a mix of high level and authenticity. Supporting this expansion of jumping in Africa, the great names of horse riding are present every year; Philippe Rozier, Pius Schwizer or the local champion Ghali Boukaa, the recent winner of the Morocco Championship.

Hello Mathew,

Step by step, we are starting to have some owners, at the beginning it was the federation that bought horses for riders.
We are starting to have owners who invest because they like the sport, private owners are starting to buy great horses and we hope that it will continue because it helps us a lot.

Hello Norman,

The most popular sport in Morocco is football, and regarding equestrian sports it's indeed jumping and races.

Hello Tessy,

In Africa you have the best riders in Morocco 😉

Hello Silvia,

The Morocco Royal Tour lasts 3 weeks with 3 bigs legs: Tétouan is the first one, then Rabat at 250km from Tétouan, the venue is exceptional: the ground, the organization, it's worth a 5 stars show! Then we finish at Al Jadida, it's really pleasant to compete there. Horses come back to Europe after this final leg.

Hello Philippa,

It is mainly shows abroad, I did beautiful shows in Europe. When Philippe Rozier was the trainer of the Moroccan Team, we were at his stables and we did many great shows, 4 and 5*, World Championship qualifiers...
The show I remember the most in the CSI 4* of Bourg-en-Bresse, where I qualified for the World Championship in Tryon, we only had this show to be qualified, this one, and we did it! I really wanted to for my country, the federation, and mostly for my trainer, Marcel Delestre, who always believed in me.

Hello Mark,

I import horses to Morocco for a simple reason: we have 10 months of sun every year. So it is not ideal to have good breedings, because you need a lot of water, green grass...

For high level, I import 3 or 4 years old horses, to make them grow in Morocco, then around 7 years old we bring them to Europe to finish their training, when you have great horses it is awesome!

Hello Kareen,

My father was a big fan of horses, so when he had children he immediately wanted them to ride horses.

I rode ponies from 4 to 10 years old, at 10 I started with horses with the Junior Circuit, I had great results and great horses.

At 16 years old I join the national team and everything began!

Then I started Grand Prix and international classes.

The Prince Moulay El Hassan made incredible efforts for the sport, I thank him a lot.

Hello Sandy,

It is difficult for horses at the beginning, you have to take your time, after 5-6 months you have to do a blood test to see if your horse is alright. The most simple is to ride early in the morning, or late in the evening.
