Tightrope on his horses’ back, Equitheme’s clothes allow him to express his art with poetry and lightness. Beyond his TV appearances on the French version of America’s Got Talent., Pierre now presents his shows on the European scene.

Hello Duncan

First of all, the breed of my horses is very special, my philosophy too: even if it is liberty work people are starting to see that there are different ways to work.
I try to show more the relational aspect, there is performance too but I would rather communicate on the physical and mental wellness of my horses during shows, their serenity.

Pierre

Hello Molly,

Liberty work allow us to adapt our behavior to our horse. For some years I only worked on the relationship with my horses, after some accidents on their back. I put aside the physical work but there was a brake because my horses weren't comfortable at the 3 gaits.

Pierre

Hello Jennifer,

Thank you so much. I am in Normandy, next to Deauville, in Tourgeville precisely. We are building our barn for 5 years old now and all our horses are with us.

Pierre

Hello Emily,

With the diversity of breeds, I can offer different exercises depending on their personalities, which is also linked to their breed.

Pierre

Hello Alexia,

Nothing is innate, when a horse is in a special contex (sound, light, crowd), he is always frightened. He needs to stay calm during shows, the fact that a horse is going to adapt quickly to this context is what makes him good. There are different tempers, and that is at this moment that we can detect their talent for shows.

Hello Amy,

When it comes to equipment, I am not for the consumer society 😉 However there are some unmissable equipments: halter or rope halter, lead, sometime a bridle at the beginning of the work, a stick, sometimes saddle pads.

Hello Margot,

I had a lot of troubles with nervousness at the beginning.
The problem with liberty shows is that there is no link. And at the beginning I was so stressed that it didn't work with my horses, they didn't have any landmark anymore.

I had to work on it, and tell myself 'it's just like at home', I relativise.

You have to know that your horse needs to trust you, you can't give your nervousness to them.

What will help you is to have a good preparation: go at the show earlier, see the ring...

Hello Raegan,

Great question. I have chosen not to use protection for transport, horses often loose it during transport, horses can move a lot because of it. My truck is really great so horses are very well protected, I think that protection can cause more troubles during transport.

Hello Caitlin,

Year by year, we are getting more experience and we can think about what we can do to be at 100%, you have to keep in mind the positive part of your ride, and forget the negative.
