My horse Family

The owners have pleasure in following their horses in competitions and watching them evolve, but they do not ride themselves. With the platform My Horse Family you can now easily finance a race, sport or leisure horse, breed it and follow it with the other co-breeders. A simple way to own several horses and share this pleasure with a team.

Hi Derek,

It is a very good question and I am going to try to be as impartial as possible.

Nowadays, it's really difficult for a breeder to continue his activity alone.

Cash flow problems, non-recognition of the profession, hard market...

The co-breeding permit to solve all these problems : It finances a part of breeding, it makes people come to the breeding and communicate around the breedings and breeders.

Co-breeding and the sharing economy could reinvigorate all the horse's sector and pump some new blood ! :)

Hi Gary,

The strength of My Horse Family is that each one finds some benefit there.

"Small" breeders are interested in the cash advance, it allows them to breed their foals in the best conditions. And the recognition of the profession !

"Bigger" breeders are interested in the hype for the sector that creates My Horse Family and co-breeding ! Communication and positive image that we convey ! :)

Every breeders have a good reason to be on My Horse Family.

Hi Will,

Actually, a big part of our co-breeders are non-rider.

It is even one of My Horse Family's major principles: democratize the horse's world for all! :)

But we can guarantee that 100 % of the users of https://www.myhorsefamily.com/ are horse's enthusiasts. ;)

Rider as non-rider want to discover the breeding's world !

Hi Ian,

Until now, we can't say that race horses have more succes than sport horses. :)

On https://www.myhorsefamily.com/, you can find projects of race horses and sport horses. And all of these projects are going to be financed !

It looks like there are as many race horse's enthusiast as there are sport horse's enthusiast :)

Hi Ashley,

On https://www.myhorsefamily.com/, we don't estimate the cost of a foal, but we calculate the cost of a foal's breeding. :)

When a breeder post a project on our website, we calculate with him the real costs of the foal's breeding, for the entire breeding's period until the sale.

That would include any expenses (food, veterinarian, insurance etc...)

We subtract the part that the breeder want to keep, then we divide the sum by the number of desired co-breeder.

Thus we're getting the part's price that the co-breeder will pay just once ! :)

The co-breeder will not have to pay additional fees.

There's no way to estimate the cost of a foal before his birth :)

Hi Emily,

You can become co-breeder at any time ! Before or after the mare is in foal.

The deadline is the birth of the foal ! Because we need to do the birth certificate, no later than 10 days after the foal's birth.

Once this date past, we cannot add any more co-breeder.

But no need to worry, if you like a project on https://www.myhorsefamily.com/ you have usually 11 months to take a part and become a co-breeder ! :)

Hi Lauren,

Every co-breeders have the same power of decision regarding the life of the foal.

They all can choose the name of the foal, and come to see him in the breeding.

The only difference between co-breeders are the rewards : Some breeder offer some specifics rewards if you buy more parts of the foal.

The main breeder is the only one who can decide about important choice. We rely on his experience for the decision-making for the foal. :)

Morgän

Hi Mathew,

Even with several co-breeders, the main breeder is the one who makes decision about foal's future.

My Horse Family's breeders are selected for their professionalism and their knowledge,

We rely on their experiences for the decision-making for the foal.

The main breeder still works as he always does, and co-breeders can discover all the pleasure of being a breeder ! :)

No one else can decide when it's the right time to sell the foal except the main breeder.
