If you had to sell your horse (for example your pony when you can't compete in pony sections anymore), would you rather sell him to someone living close to you or far away (like in a foreign country)?
I’d like to sell them close, so I can stay in contact with the owner, and easily be able to see the horse if something happens, which you wouldn’t be able to do in a foreign country.
Should I use a jelly brush or a sponge when I wash my horse?
I like to use a rubber curry comb, hose them down or sponge some water then put the shampoo directly to the coat and scrub with the curry comb and then rinse off a few times using my hand to make sure nothing is left over.
How long do you wait to ride your horses after getting him/her?
I would let them settle in for at least 3-4 days and I would just be walking them around and lots of grooming, start to et to know them and when you feel they’re calm and settled and you’re ready then I’d ride.
What does your horse eat? Do you adapt his alimentation depending on the season?
Just a simple high fat high fibre grain and some salt maybe a few supplements if he needs it. More in the summer, less in the winter as it’s cold and he’s not getting worked as much and he doesn’t need the extra energy and I don’t want him fat 😂
My saddle fits my mare and I don't need to fix anything about the fit. I always rode with a half pad because I thought it was better but do you think I need it?
I think if it’s custom and has been adjusted then there’s no reason to wear a half pad but if it’s just your opinion and someone else’s then I would use a half pad just to help their back.
