Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I never felt that the “Everything’s Bigger” state was going to be my forever home. I jumped at the chance to leave for college in 2009, ending up at the University of Missouri in Columbia. With a passion for horses and photography, I originally felt the easiest path to a somewhat stable and enjoyable life was photojournalism.Fast forward four years, I ended up with a Bachelor’s in journalism, an inescapable love for writing and awards for long-form articles (sports and outdoors) from the Associated Press Sports Editors, the Missouri Press Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence Competition.

I am currently in St. Louis working as a content marketing strategist for a digital marketing firm and writing freelance business and sports articles for the St. Louis Business Journal and St. Louis Rams. I’ve published one book, From “A” to “F”, available for purchase here at Lulu.com and am working on a children’s series entitled The Adventures of Clay and Kaya.

My next adult book will be a compilation of 30+ feature stories on adults who have Alzheimer’s and dementia. The proceeds from the book with go towards Alzheimer’s research. To learn more visit the Eternalizing Memory page.

I tried the more logical and profitable path of law school (that did not work out at all), and though I loved Denver, I loved my dream more. I have currently one book finished and hopefully soon to be published, and I have two more in the works. In the meantime, this blog is my own “paper” on which I post random life-related posts about topics relative to those aged 20 to 30.

On that note, I am always open to suggestions, comments, etc. Feel free to contact me for freelance work, questions, comments, and well anything!
