Do you think a double corkscrew is too harsh for schooling in? The lady that showed me the horse got it and I've been thinking about replacing it.
A bit is only as hard as the hand that control it. If you aren’t pulling it isn’t doing anything in the horses mouth, just resting on the tongue. But if you don’t think you need it there is no point in using a harsh bit. You could always try something softer, if it doesn’t work you can go back to it :)
Did you ever bought a horse from overseas by watching videos and if so, how did quarantine, shipping, and payment all get handled? Thanks in advance :)
It is about $10000 for a gelding and $14000 for a mare in Canadian dollars. But what ever transport company you are using should be able to give you a quote on how much.
My pony gets a little nervous when it’s windy when I ride, do you know if there is something that can help?
I agree with the others! It is probably just the ears blowing in his ears that makes him nervous and distracted, ear pulgs or a soundless bonnet would definitely be something to try!
Have you ever dealt with a horse with OCD? I’ve got a gelding with OCD in his hock that has flaked into his collateral ligament. He’s sound with but can't canter (surgery is not an option).
Have you tried hock injections? My friends horse has OCD in her pastern and they inject it and it does wonders!
Do you know a high quality saddle that is very flexible for a sensitive horse (hunters)?
Im not sure what you mean by flexible but, I have an Antares Spooner and I love it! It fits almost every horse I have put it on (9/10 infact!) I highly recommend any saddle from Antares, this is my 2nd saddle from them and they have been amazing to deal with!
Have you got any opinions on Parlanti or Tucci boots?
I recently got Tucci boots and I am in love! They hurt a bit to break in but after a week I didn’t want to take them off! They look soo nice and sleek! My friend recently got parlanti boots and the leather is very thin! I don’t know about you but I wear out my boots quickly so I am glad I got Tucci boots instead because they are thicker and more durable!
