What kind of oil can I use on my horse's hooves?
I use basic olive oil. It’s inexpensive and it really works. My farrier recommended it for every day use to help with the dry cracking. I totally noticed a difference in my horses hooves with in 3 weeks!!! Plus it’s super inexpensive!!!!
I feel ready to get a horse over summer. I've worked at camps and help my friends with their horses. How do I convince my mom ? I am an AP student whose has already had jobs
Most parents are worried that there kids are just going through a pony stage, show her that this is what you really want to do and no matter what, stick with it. I had to wait 10 years of consistent riding and showing for my parents to finally get a horse for me. Dedication and hard work!!!
I'm finishing high school soon and I feel very stressed about my future. I know I want to ride as a part of my job, but it seems unrealistic bc I'm broke. Any suggestions?
I think it depends on what you want to do after high school. If you will be attending a university then ask them if they have a horse program, if they have a horse program ask them what they offer. I know UF gives free board on there property if you do a little work for them like clean stalls and stuff like that. But if you plan on not attending college but are going right into the work force then get a job that can financially sustain your horse riding career. It really just depends on what you do after high school.
