My Western Saddle does not fit me or my horses anymore, what are some tips on selling it and getting it sold fast for the price you want?
Lower the price by about $50 if it’s been a month or repost it and add some extra nick backs you’ve got laying around that you don’t want with it offer them for an optional freebie
Can anyone tell me if this wintec saddle would automatically be too wide for a 17hh high withered ottb? Wintec 500w serial no w 1106 2480-46DR? Does it have the easy fit system
I have a 16hh high wither ottb and in the English sadd he is yellow but it depends if your horse has muscle around his wither if he does I’d recommend the green gullet
How can I stop my saddle/saddle pad stop rubbing my horses withers? He has really high withers. We have done a saddle fitting and it fits him just fine.
I found that putting a deranged spray for manes and tails on the whither before riding helps prevent rubbing
Do you have some tips on retraining an of the track thoroughbred ?
Consistency, two steps forward one step back, so once you’ve increased the difficulty of an exercise, always go back and make sure the basics are still perfect. Lots and lots of ground work is always helpful.
When I bought my horse he didn't spook, didn't notice anything and didn't buck, now he does all three, my trainer says I need to accept like this, I think something is wrong with. Can anybody help me deal with him?
Check all your tack make sure it fits perfectly often bucking after they’ve never bucked before is a result of ill fitting tack. With spooking it might be that he is focusing more on what he is doing so he’s not just looking around and taking notice of what’s around him so when something happens he isn’t aware and spooks when you first bought him the previous owner might not of had all of his attention so the horse was able to identify something was going to happen then he wouldn’t spook because he had already seen it coming work on desensitising him if this irks what’s happening. Sorry if I’m not making sense! But I hope that helps
I have an off the track Thoroughbred that throws her head and does bunny jumps when I ask her to canter. What are some ways I can correct her and get her to stop bucking?
I have an ottb and he does the exact same thing if you’ve ever heard of the “one rein stop” or “hurricane” every time your horse does something you didn’t ask it to do or that isn’t acceptable like doing bunny hops and bucking do the one rein stop and hold it there until your horses feet stop moving then once it has stopped start again if the transition from stop to walk this perfect and listens well then move to walk to trot if that seems perfect and no issues then move to trot to canter transitions often if they’re having issues with trot to canter transitions they’re having issues with the others too it’s just harder to see because it’s seen as a simpler task
