Im using a D ring French link snaffle on my horse, I really feel like it isn't the best bit for him, he can be foward, I am looking to have a bit more leverage on his mouth.
It's hard to recommend bits because every horse is different. off the top of my head I would suggest something like a slow twist snaffle of even a gag but would definetly suggest talking with someone that knows you and your and who has some knowledge about different types of bits
What's your favorite brand of open front boot? I need a new pair!
I really like the Dover brand open front boots and they are very affordable and work very well. If you willing to buy a more expensive pair I would definetly recommend eskadrons. they are awesome. And then there are Equifits which are quite pricy but worth the money
I am western and starting on a horse with a big trot does anyone have tips for 2 pointing and posting?
place all of your weight in your heel. sink your heel. Try not to rest your weight on the horses neck. When you posting count your rhythm so you have a steady pace. And for finding your diagonal i always tell people to remember "rise and fall with the leg on the wall"
Whats the best saddle pats for horses with sensitive back?
I would definetly recommend an ogilvy pad. they fit very nicely on all horses and provide lots of support for horses with sensitive backs. In my opinion they are a little bit more on the pricy side but are definetly well worth it.
