I've been riding for about 5 1/2 years now! I originally started in saddleseat, moved on to Natural horsemanship due to confidence loss, I them decided to go back to saddleseat for about a year-ish , then after 1 year in western I bought my first horse Stewart! Now I've been with him for bout a 1 1/2 and couldn't be happier than ever!
My feet keep sliding forward into my stirrups, does that mean my stirrups are too long ? I have a problem with keeping my heels down could that be why?
You are probably not keeping your heels down far enough so what I recommend is putting your heels down a little bit further. The same thing is happening to me but I figured out that heels further down helps out a lot
I have a 21 year old OTTB. She has lost a lot of weight this winter. Her weight is fine now but I have to work on getting the muscle back. Anyone have any tips?
Trotting, walking up hills and walking back down, w/t/c over ground poles really helped my horse gain some muscle
If I'm getting some intense inner leg bruising after riding, is the saddle probably too small?
No, your saddle shouldn't be the issue its probably your stirrup leathers if your English. My stirrup leathers bruised my calves all the time but then I found new ones a little bit thinner and made share they were taking care of and never have had problems since.
