Waterford loose ring bit on a 3 year old fussy mare who pulls a lot and holds the bit, also runs off with the bit, good or not so good idea🙊?
I would say with a 3 year old avoid using strong bits and fixing the base problems. Otherwise she'll end up with an unsensitive mouth and youll have to keep upping the strength of the bit 😊
Is a dressage saddle better than an all around saddle for ground work and trails?
A dressage saddle will help you stay in a better position and build the proper muscles to keep you in a good position when you arent using it. It will also help you sit in when your horse bucks or takes off. A lot of high level riders will use a dressage saddle even when jumpin lower heights 😊
Best supplements (read: affordable) for MSM and glucosamine? For eventing thoroughbreds
Glucosamine isnt really proven to have any effect on a horse if given orally, I'd recommend talking to your vet about doing glucosamine injections. My guy only has to be done once a week and it works really well
Senior horse supplement reccomendations? He's in moderate work with no issues, just want something all around (joint, weight, etc)
We use Proform Step 6 for all our older horses. It gives a little extra energy and keeps weight up, and gives them a super shinny coat :)
My horse is really Heavy on the forehand. How can I fix this problem?
