Hey everyone does any body have any tips for making my body stay still when I jump my horse leaps some times and that when I get pulled forward. Do you have any tips please ?
A trainer had me canter 3 strides 2 point, 3 strides sitting, 3 strides 2 point, 3 strides sitting-on & on. It really helped me & my strength. We worked on it a lot until I could do it a mile each direction without getting exhausted & winded.
I have been riding/ competing for five years now, and I want to start showing at a higher level. There aren't any big show barns around me. I need some advice on what to do...
Go to some clinics & continue to work on what you learn at home-then get help from a good trainer at the shows
What is the best feed to put weight on an active senior OTTB who still eats hay & grain & is high strung?
I was just curious about brands of senior feed you guys have had success with. My husband is a horse vet-he gets all medical items done regularly including teeth, shots, working based on fecal tests, etc. I have had him since he was 3 & he is 26 now. Just seems to be getting more difficult keeping weight on him. He currently gets grass, alfalfa hay, rice bran & purina senior. He previously got a if this & triple crown senior but the consistency of the feed seemed to changed toward the end of last year & he didn't like it as much, so I switched. I was thinking of trying the purina equine senior active since he eats hay.
