How often should you ride or work with your horse on a daily basis ? Do you have any tips?
Well you shouldn't ride your horse everyday it's bad for their back but you can lunge for 5-10 minutes each day and walk them with a halter down a trail if you'd like it builds trust and it's good for you and the horse!
My 5 yo mare pulls back almost half the time I tie her, especially if I tie her short, almost as though she's claustrophobic. Do you have any tips to help her stop?
All horses are a little claustrophobic so be patient and make a slip tie so if she freaks out she can go. Maybe put a nibble net infrount of her so she doesn't focus on the tie so much :)
I have a bay gelding and I was looking for a show name for him and he is really special so I thought about Midnight Special. What do you think his show name should be ?
Maybe blue ribbon baby? Baby blue roan? Taking chances? Midnight moonlight? I just come up with them so maybe that will work? :)
I haven't ridden my horse in 7 weeks due to him being injured. Today I rode him and he was really flighty and ended up bucking me off. Do you have tips on how to prevent this from happening?
Lunge before riding also take it slow he's probably very anxious:)
I moved to a new barn and they tack up and groom my horse for me. I know this sounds stupid but I'm kind of shy to ask if I can do it myself. Do you have any tips? Would it be weird if I did ask?
Of course not! They would probably be glad that you want to as long as you know how to they would probably encourage you too:)
