Any tips for a very forward horse that needs better brakes ? We've been working on our canter-walk transitions for quite some time now and she just isn't getting the hang of it!
Try easier transitions like walk trot and trot canter. Extend his walk and trot for a few steps and then colect him back. After you have managed to get him calmed and relaxed during walk and trot transitions he should be more obedient when it comes to canter and his canter walk transition. Also when you do the transition make sure you sit up straight and deep in the saddle and when you ask for the stop do it more with your shoulders than pulling with your hands. Hope it helps.
Tips for riding bareback ?🏇🏼💕
Sit deep on your horse s back and try to keep your back straight it helps with your balance. Also try to sit relaxed and follow your horse s moves. Keep your thighs and knees sqeezed and have several brakes so you won't feel tired as fast.
My horse had an accident in the beginning of the year, which he cut his leg on a fence. Do you think the hair will grow back ?
Unfortunately his hair on that area will probably not grow out again. My horse had the same problem a few years ago and the hair around the scar did grow and it kind of hides it but it is still visible because the hair won't grow where the injury was.
